Faith, Family and Country
Lee County is a place where traditional values are embraced.
An easy 20-minute drive from Ft. Bragg, Lee County is an all-American
community, dedicated to faith, family and country. New faces
and new ideas are welcome.
Here, new residents become friends in neighborhoods that include
modest cottages on quiet, tree-lined streets; reasonably-priced
homes with architectural grace in our historic district; and
classy, high-end waterfront properties in gated communities.
In Sanford, our small city center, restaurants reflect our ethnicity,
offering everything from health-conscious chic to Latino, Caribbean,
Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Tex-Mex, basic Southern and finger-licking
soul.
Schools are a priority with a newly opened high school and new
middle school under construction. Some parents and students may
prefer one of the two K-12 low-enrollment private schools.
Jobs are available in our thriving businesses and industries.
The local community college offers programs for those seeking
associate degrees, or simply to enhance their lives through continuing
education.
Ideally situated within a short drive to metropolitan business,
technical and medical areas like Raleigh, Chapel Hill, Durham,
and Greensboro, Lee County is also equi-distance to beaches and
mountains. Enjoy boating, swimming and camping at a local lake.
Recreation opportunities abound and the region is a golfer's
paradise. Sanford believes in entertainment. There is a refurbished,
vintage theater featuring top-quality guild actors; weekly free
concerts (jazz, bluegrass, beach music, classical) in our town
square park; an annual statewide high school battle of the bands;
a community orchestra and chorus that welcome new members; and
the largest annual pottery festival in the Southeast.
Visit our websites, but you're invited to come in person and
discover the America we love in Lee County, North Carolina.
